RIDING 101: INTRODUCTION TO DIRT RIDING FOR NEW RIDERS

 

STARTER LEVEL CLASSES

The beginner class will lay the foundation work for a safe and effective motorcycle handling and teaches you the basic skills required to operate your motorcycle.

Peter’s teaching technique uses a building block method that will help you continuously and safely progress your skills in a way you can understand. Students like the fact that they can digest new information in small bites. This avoids being overwhelmed with too much information ar once.

You will learn these techniques in a small group of similarly skilled people or in one-on-one private clinics.

The beginner class is designed for people with a clear goal in mind and will set you off well into reaching your personal goals in riding.

RIDERS LOOKING TO IMPROVE BASIC RIDING SKILLS

BEGINNER LEVEL CLASSES

LEVEL 3

THIS CLASS GETS YOU SETUP FOR ALL THE COOL STUFF

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASSES

Continue building your riding skillset with intermediate classes with Peter.

This class takes your basic skills to another level and focuses on more refined techniques and more advanced exercises.

This is truly where the cool stuff starts. Peter has designed unique obstacles and challenges that will out you to the test, but also lets you quickly recognize areas for continuous improvement.

 

A

Perform figure eights at very low speed with bars locked.

B

While riding at very low speed in a straight line, be able to stop and continue without putting feet down.

C

Be proficient in body positioning, clutch control and brake techniques to navigate simple obstacles, like logs.

LEVEL 4

RIDERS LOOKING TO MASTER TECHNIQUES*

ADVANCED LEVEL CLASSES

Learning advanced riding techniques to reduce fatigue and rider wear. Clear obstacles while conserving energy and saving time. For example: getting unstuck from the difficult obstacles such as ruts, ledges, or steep climbs. This class is designed for riders who want to step up their game and really start mastering the more difficult techniques in off-road riding. Explore and try out pivot turning and other turn around techniques for single track for more efficiency and less rider fatigue. Learn precise wheelie techniques and front tire wheel placement to fine tune riding skills. These two things along with body positioning and proper suspension manipulation are the key to many riding techniques that will allow you to navigate difficult trail scenarios. Don’t forget, Peter regularly trains advanced level riders in private clinics. This class will also help prepare you for your first race.

Be able to perform controlled slow speed wheelie with proper rear brake control.

B

Be able to ride up and down on ledges and drop-offs.

C

Be able to ride over logs 12″ in diameter without difficulty.

D

* Must have modern 2-stroke enduro machine.
